Turkish Teklas hires former Geox’s workers in Vranje

The Turkish company Teklas Automotive has opened a car parts factory in Vranje, which will initially employ about 300 and later 1,500 workers.

In three car parts plants in Vladicin Han, which were opened six years ago, the company employs about 1,200 workers, while the factory in Vranje employed former employees of the plant of Italian Geox, which had left Serbia. The ceremony on the occasion of the opening of the factory in Vranje was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who said that the salaries in Teklas were 50 percent to twice as high as they had been in Geox, which employed 1,200 people.
