Winter claims first victim in Serbia

A 50 year old man was found dead in the snow outside the Vojvodina town of Sremska Mitrovica, Belgrade media reported on Monday.
The man froze to death, according to initial reports from the local police. The body was found outside the village of Lacarak in the northwest of Serbia close to the borders with Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Serbia has been experiencing cold weather over the past few days with snow and temperatures dropping below freezing.
