Serbian flag raised in front of CERN headquarters

Serbia’s flag was raised in front of the headquarters of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) Geneva on Tuesday, inaugurating it as the 23rd member of that organization.
Serbia was granted membership in mid-December 2018 by the CERN council, becoming the fourth non-European Union country in the organization. That was followed by formal confirmation from UNESCO that Serbia had acceded to the CERN convention in March this year.
