Police suspend 1,370 drunk drivers in Serbia in four days

In the last seven days, 20 people were killed in traffic accidents on Serbia's roads, while the police issued 1,370 roadside suspensions to drunk drivers, the Beta news agency reported on Wednesday.
The traffic police deputy chief Boban Milinkovic told the state RTS television that the most frequent cause of traffic accidents was speeding and drinking. He added many drivers asked police officers why they carried out control on Orthodox Good Friday, while 400 of them were suspended on that day only.
