UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed deep concern over the decision of Pristina authorities to form an army, urging “all parties concerned” to exercise restraint, according to a diplomatic source at the UN headquarters.

The UN Security Council held an informal meeting at Serbia's request late Friday night to discuss the recent developments in Kosovo, the sources confirmed. The meeting was attended by 15 member states represented in the Council. President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that the country demanded an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council after Pristina decided to transform its Securit Forces into an army.
