Serbian central bank said inflation comparable to developed countries

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has managed to limit inflation to low and stable levels comparable to those in the most developed countries, a press release said on Monday.

The NBS recalled that it had been implementing the strategy of a targetted inflation for 10 years and has managed to keep inflation low and stable in the past five years. The initial stage of the targetted inflation (2009 – 2012) was marked by high and volatile inflation reaching 14.7 percent in April 2011.
