Belgrade: Kosovo's political movement strips Serbs of free human beings status

Kosovo’s Central Electoral Commission (CIK) refused to accept the Serb List’s candidates for the mayors of the northern municipalities in May 19 vote, Marko Djuric, the head of Serbia’s Government for Kosovo said on Wednesday, N1 reported.

Djuric said the move abolished all political rights of the Serbs in northern Kosovo. In the meeting on Wednesday, the CIK did not have enough votes to approve the Serb candidates. On Tuesday, two members of Kosovo opposition Self-Determination movement refused to approve the Serb List candidates, saying they had violated the Constitution by resigning five months ago.
