More infants vaccinated in Serbia last year

The Serbian health authorities have reported a significant rise in the number of children vaccinated against measles and mumps in 2018.

A total of 93.4 percent of children at the age of two have been vaccinated, the Serbian Public Health Institute said in a press release on Wednesday, adding that Serbia is now close to the 95 percent threshold after which epidemics are unlikely. The Belgrade area authorities reported that 98.7 percent of infants were vaccinated and the authorities in Nis reported 95.4 percent.
