Papal visit to North Macedonia brings message of reconciliation, Zaev says

North Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said on Wednesday that Pope Francis’ coming visit is a historic event which brings a message of reconciliation and solidarity.
The Pope is scheduled to pay a one-day visit to Skoplje, the birthplace of Mother Theresa, on May 7. The visit comes after 25 years of diplomatic relations between North Macedonia and the Vatican. The pope will meet with Zaev and President Gjorgje Ivanov.
