Over 300 kilograms of marijuana seized at Serbia’s border crossing

Serbia’s police and the Customs Directorate on the Batrovci border crossing with Croatia found over 300 kilograms of marijuana hidden inside a roof of a refrigerator lorry, N1 reported on Thursday.
The police arrested the driver, a man from the southern town of Vranje, on suspicion of illegal production and selling the drugs. The marijuana was packed in 246 bags wrapped up in scotch tape. The suspect will be held in police custody for 48 hours and then taken before a prosecutor. The street value of 300 kilograms of marijuana is about 1.5 million Euros with a prize of some 50 Euros for ten grammes.
