More than 100 homes have burned and hundreds of people have been forced to evacuate in a fire in the city of Drammen in southern Norway.
The Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection announced today that this is the largest fire of its kind in the country’s modern history. The fire broke out in southern Norway in a house in the city of Drammen around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, police reported. The fire then spread through the neighborhood into nearby forests.
