Serbia's longest tunnel nears completion: Opening date for the Iriški Venac Tunnel revealed

Serbia’s outgoing Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure inspected the work on the Iriški Venac Tunnel today and said the tunnel and the road section leading to Ruma are expected to open to traffic in June.
"The Iriški Venac Tunnel, part of the Fruška Gora Corridor, is located on the 16.5-kilometre section running from Paragovo to the beginning of the Ruma bypass. It is the longest road tunnel in Serbia. More than 80 per cent of the work on this section has been completed, and construction and tunnel equipment installation are expected to be finished by the end of the year.
