Swiss public broadcaster will resume analog radio broadcasting

The Swiss national public media service (SRG) announced today that, due to new political circumstances and in response to the demands of part of the population, it will once again begin broadcasting its radio program in analog format.
SRG stated that the radio program will be broadcast via FM, that the old frequencies have been reacquired, and that the reactivation of the first FM transmitters across the country is planned for mid-November. This first step will enable 80 percent of the audience to once again have the opportunity to listen to FM radio. It is added that listeners will thus have more time to switch to the already widely available digital reception options. Analog radio programming
