Deputy mayor says Belgrade expecting higher holiday earnings

The city of Belgrade is expecting to earn 10-15 percent more than the 28 million Euros it earned during last year’s New Year holidays, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic told the Serbian state TV (RTS).

He said the earnings are expected to stand at more than 30 million Euro, covering all the investments more than 10 fold. Vesic said that the cost of the New Year celebration will be made public on February 1 and the exact number of tourists who visited the Serbian capital late in February. According to Vesic, Belgrade registered 974,182 tourists and 2,093,899 overnight stays in the first 10 months of 2018 which is 12 more tourists and 14 percent
