Belgrade and Tirana agree on improvement of education in Albanian in Serbia

The education ministers of Serbia and Albania agreed on closer cooperation to improve the education in Albanian in the south-western Presevo Valley, Serbia’s district mostly populated by ethnic Albanians, the Beta news agency reported on Monday.
The main issues included the proper textbooks for primary and secondary school students. Besa Shahini, Albanian Education Minister, told reporters in Bujanovac, one of the three Presevo Valley municipalities' centre, that Tirana would offer all necessary help, including experts for textbooks to, together with her Serbia’s counterpart Mladen Sarcevic, secure the most quality textbooks for Albanian children.
