Prices are soaring, inflation in March 9.1%

In Serbia, monthly inflation was 0.8 percent in March this year and year-on-year inflation was 9.1 percent, said the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (RZS).
Consumer prices, which measure inflation, increased by 2.8 percent on average compared to December 2021. In March, compared to the previous month, prices increased in the groups Equipment for Housing and Current Maintenance (1.7%), Transport (1.5%) ; Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages and Restaurants and Hotels (by 1.1% each), Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and other Fuels and Health (by 0.9% each), Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco (0.3%) and Communications (0.1%).
