U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has urged China to intervene and prevent Iran from closing the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most vital trade routes for crude oil.
"I encourage the Chinese government in Beijing to step in, because they rely heavily on oil transported through the Strait of Hormuz," Rubio said in an interview with Fox News, as reported by Biznis.rs.
