Serbia’s police chief says 2018 crime rates drop

Serbia’s senior police officer said on Tuesday that 2018 will be one of the safest years ever in terms of crime.
“I have to be satisfied,” Police Director Vladimir Rebic said, adding that the year 2017 was one of the safest ever with this year promising to be even better. Rebic said the police solved 80 percent of all murders. He said the numbers of the most serious crimes were stagnating with the overall number of crimes dropping by five percent this year.
