Expert: Serbia among slowest growing economies despite regime saying opposite

Serbia, together with neighbouring Croatia, has the slowest economic growth in a broader geographic region of South-East Europe and among the countries in transition, while the authorities say Belgrade is a regional leader, “which is not true,” an economy professor said on Thursday, the Beta news agency reported.
Speaking to the Danas daily, Ljubomir Madzar said the pace of the economic growth became a delicate issue, since Serbia was the economy with an unsuccessful development policy, though the regime presented it differently.
