Belgrade city authorities buying new buses

The Belgrade city authorities signed a contract on Thursday to buy 244 buses for the city transport company (GSP).

Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic told reporters at the signing that the plan is to buy another 130 buses in the next year. He said the 244 buses would come in two deliveries. The first 70 would come from the Turksih BMC company within 60 days while the next 174 would be supplied by the Chinese HIGER within 160 days. “This is the biggest single purchase in Belgrade in the past few decades,” he said, adding that the total value of the purchase is 47
