Finding a job in Serbia for these occupations is hardest

The official data of the National Employment Service (NES) shows that the largest number of the unemployed persons in the register of the NES have been waiting for a job for more than ten years.

The next in terms of numbers are those who wait up to three months, then those who find a job in a maximum of two years. There are currently just over 320,000 people in the unemployment register. Last year alone, about 50,000 workers lost their jobs. The unemployment rate in the last quarter of 2020 dropped below 10% and amounted to 9.9%, which is almost twice less than in 2015. However, tens of thousands of unemployed people have been waiting for a job for years.
