Five hundred Fiat’s workers are redundant, said Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, but she announced that the Serbian government would fight to get them the best possible severance pay and to help them find a new job.
She told Pink TV that Stellantis, which will produce electric cars in Kragujevac from the end of 2024, will need 1,550 workers, and Fiat currently employs 2,016. “We are making an effort to make sure that these workers have the best possible severance pays, they will receive severance pays and they will be higher than the legal minimum, that is already arranged. They asked for even higher pays, we are fighting to get the best possible conditions for them,” Brnabic
