Banned: EU ports no longer handle Russian gas

As of yesterday, European Union ports no longer provide transshipment services for liquefied natural gas (LNG) produced in Russia or exported from that country.

These sanctions were introduced back in June last year, but then a postponement of their application until March 26, 2025 was approved for contracts concluded before June 25, 2024. The provision of technical support, brokerage services, financing or financial support for the transshipment of LNG is also prohibited in EU ports from today.
