The Serbian national water polo team defeated Hungary 15-14 in the fifth round of the European Championship, held at the Belgrade Arena.
The "Dolphins" claimed a victory and secured a place in the semifinals of the European Championship! Serbia managed to take revenge on Hungary for two consecutive defeats in previous competitions and record a win. For Serbia, Dušan Mandić and Nikola Jakšić scored three goals each. They were followed by Strahinja Rašović and Miloš Ćuk with two goals apiece, while Petar Jakšić, Djordje Lazić, Vasilije Martinović, Nikola Dedović, and Sava Randjelović each scored once.
