Livestock Prices Fall Across Serbia

Livestock prices declined across much of Serbia last week, with lower prices recorded for calves, fattening bulls, and pigs in several regions. While prices generally trended downward, some local markets reported regional fluctuations, according to STIPS.

Slaughterhouses in the Zaječar region recorded a decline in the purchase price of Simmental (SM) calves weighing up to 160 kilograms, with a prevailing price of 900 dinars/kg. In addition to calves, processors also purchased Simmental fattening cattle weighing 350-480 kilograms, as well as slaughter cows. At the livestock market in Kraljevo, the selling price of Simmental fattening bulls weighing more than 500 kilograms fell to 450 dinars/kg. Supply and demand
