Serbian railway companies set to loose more than 1,000 staff

More than a thousand employees will loose their railway jobs just before the new year, Belgrade newspaper Vecernje Novosti said on Tuesday.
The Serbian Railways (Zeleznice Srbije), Srbija Cargo and Railway Infrastructure companies will loose 1,100 employees on December 25, the daily said, adding that most of them will quit voluntarily under a deal to give them severance pay for each year they spent in the company.
