Pristina: Import taxes to be suspended because of Trump, not Vucic

In a sign that Pristina could yield to the international pressure to suspend the 100 percent import tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia, Kosovo’s Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli said on Friday they should be delayed because of the US President Donald Trump and not because Serbia’s head of state Aleksandar Vucic, the FoNet news agency reported.
Veseli said the introduction of the tariffs was one of the most dignified Kosovo Government’s decision, but that it should be suspended for four months. “I suggested the introduction of the duties. After Trump’s demand, I said they would not be revoked but could be delayed for 120 days. We shouldn’t confront with the US,” Veseli said.
