A 182-km-long gas interconnector has been commissioned in Bulgaria, which will deliver gas from Azerbaijan to Greece, and this will provide the region with an alternative supply to Russian gas supplies.
At the opening, attended by senior officials from the region, as well as the presidents of Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Azerbaijan, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic requested the same treatment for Serbia as for EU countries, due to high energy prices.
