Serbia lacks one million piglets, customs duty on import abolished

The decision of the Government of Serbia, at the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, adopted this year abolished customs duties on the import of piglets for fattening of up to 50 kilograms.
The tariff of RSD 8.7 per kilogram for piglets and cattle for fattening was also abolished, which, according to competent minister Jelena Tanaskovic, should help improve the livestock population in Serbia. “This measure was adopted as a measure to help our agricultural producers with the idea of restoring Serbia’s livestock population. According to the estimates and analyses for the previous two years, which were done by the Statistical Office of the Republic of
