THE BEGINNING I was born on 22 July 1964 in Stari Jankovci, near Vinkovci, in what is now Croatia! I was born at home – my mother didn’t make it to the hospital, ha-ha-ha! Honestly, I’m glad it turned out that way.
I was a big baby, five kilos and 250 grams, and 62 centimetres long... a hefty baby. My mother Zorka had some complications during the birth. Fortunately, everything turned out fine. My parents were originally from Knin, more precisely from the surrounding area – my mother from the village of Golubić, and my father from Oćestovo.
