Sirijske snage nastavljaju da čiste teren od razbijenih grupa terorista Islamske države u Al-Safi, koristeći pri tom borbene avione, tešku artiljeriju, rakete i tenkove.
Operaciju vodi elitna 4. divizija, a teroristi su očišćeni iz velikih delova juče oslobođene teritorije, uključujući i oblast oko groba Šeika Huseina.
