Kosovo Serb leader: KFOR says will secure peace

Head of the Seb List, a political party in Kosovo supported by Belgrade, said on Thursday he and the NATO-led KFOR commander Lorenzo D’Addario agreed over the phone that “no provocations should be allowed” and that KFOR would secure peace in Kosovo, the Beta news reported.

A statement from the office of Goran Rakic, who is currently the chief of the Crisis Headquarters in northern Kosovo, said he told D’Addario that local Serbs were upset with the security situation, and the two agreed to be in touch regularly and to monitor the situation together. They talked ahead of Friday’s Kosovo parliament session scheduled to endorse three laws which would enable the transformation of Kosovo Security Forces into an army,
