New Year’s public procurement corrupt, expert warns

The public procurement of new year lighting and decorations in local communities in Serbia “are not at all alright”, an official of the Coalition for Oversight of Public Finances said on Friday.
Coalition Coordinator Dragan Dobrasinovic said that the biggest problems with that public procurement are tender documentation, criteria and additional conditions suited to specific bidders. “It’s clear that the contract will go to Keep Light in Belgrade and it’s clear that Keep Light was to have been given the contract in Nis as well but there was a public uproar,” he told Radio Free Europe.
