Bad weather spoils May 1 traditional picnic in Belgrade, unions in protest

Relatively cold weather with threatening rain prevented people in Belgrade from keeping on with the traditional picnics known as the May 1 reveille, but some unions held also traditional protest in the country's capital, N1 reported on Wednesday.
In the most popular Belgrade’s picnic site in Kosutnjak, only several groups of young people gathered, with tents to protect them from rain which occasionally spoiled their activities. On the Sava riverside Ada Ciganlija, more people gathered, also the young ones, mostly high school students. They said they came during the night to take place and to enjoy in barbecue and drinks.
