Discussion at a meeting on Roma integration in Tirana

Dear Distinguished panelists, It is an honor to take part in this conference. This is an important event not only because of the human and minority rights of Roma. Not only because of the EU accession. It is also important because of the future of the region, its economic development and security protection.
Recently, the president of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski said for Financial Times that the population decline is the biggest threat for the region. Indeed, Serbia loses 107 citizens a day and compared to 1990, will lose a quarter of its population in only 3 decades from today. The population trends among the Roma are very different.
