Within the UNDP PRO program supported by the European Union, the Municipality of Cajetina was chosen a few years ago as the most promising municipality in which the development of an industrial zone should be financed, thus having that in mind a business zone was opened.
The business zone “Branesko polje” is located nine kilometres north-west of the centre of the Municipality of Cajetina, and spreads across 200 hectares of land of mixed ownership structure – municipal, private and state land. Thirty hectares of space in this zone have been currently arranged. It has a fully built infrastructure, plots and facilities suitable for production, processing and similar plants.
