Juan Manuel Cerundolo defeated the Italian tennis player in a dramatic comeback, winning 3–2 (3:6, 2:6, 7:5, 6:1, 6:1). Jannik Sinner seemed on course to dispatch the Argentine just as he had done against Tabur two days earlier. He led 2–0 in sets and 5–1 in the third, but then completely fell apart. He experienced major physical problems, barely able to walk at certain moments, and failed to recover from them. This was Cerúndolo’s first victory over a Top 10
