Spanish journalist Manolo Lama did not hold back after Argentina’s dramatic Round of 16 victory over Egypt at the World Cup, calling it "the biggest refereeing scandal in favor of one national team in World Cup history.”
The Spanish journalist also argued that the referees should have reviewed the incidents inside Argentina’s penalty area. "As for Argentina’s third goal, there were two situations that should have been reviewed. There was a clear shirt pull and a foul on an Egyptian player with no attempt to play the ball, followed by contact with Salah’s leg inside the penalty area."
