Vučić: "For the first time, I'm optimistic that the NIS issue could be resolved in September"

Aleksandar Vučić said today that he is optimistic for the first time and hopes that negotiations over the takeover of Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) could be concluded in September, adding that this would not be possible without understanding from U.S. OFAC.
"For the first time, I feel optimistic, and I hope that we could resolve the entire NIS issue in September. Without a certain level of understanding from OFAC and the U.S. side, it would have been difficult to keep the situation under control without major consequences and to get this close to a final resolution," Vučić said at the Innovation and Education Park of the Mine Action Center in Velika Moštanica, where he attended a presentation of deminers’ work on
