In a year, potato prices went up 101 percent

Prices of products in the agricultural and fisheries sector in July 2022, compared to the same month in 2021, increased by 45.1 percent in Serbia, and potatoes rose in price the most – by 101.3 percent, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.

Observed by main product groups, compared to the same month of the previous year, the greatest impact on price growth was recorded in the groups: cereals (62.8 percent), livestock and poultry (48.5 percent) and fruit (28.3 percent). In July this year, compared to the same month last year, potatoes rose the most, 101.3 percent, followed by fish 79.8 percent, wheat 68.1 percent, pigs 63.1 percent.
