More than 20 dead on the job in 2018, Serbian minister says

More than 20 people have died on their jobs this year, Serbia’s Labour Minister Zoran Djordjevic said on Monday.
He told an annual Labour Ministry news conference that 21 people had died and 697 had suffered serious injuries. Inspectors also reported 55 light injuries and 19 cases of collective injuries, he added. Inspectors conducted 813 on site checks following up on reports of injuries and filed 1,341 misdemeanour charges against employers for violations of security measures, the minister said and added that criminal charges were filed in 34 cases.
